We keep things simple. We collect only what we need to talk to you about your pitch, run the startup we fund with you, and operate the website you're reading.
Who runs this site
Creator Deal HQ is operated by Share the Truth Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Email hello@creatordealhq.com for any privacy question.
What we collect
- Pitch submissions: your name, email, optional WhatsApp / phone number, audience numbers, idea, and any links you share with us.
- If you start the pitch but don't finish, we may still hold the basics from the steps you completed before you left, so we can pick up where you left off when you come back and so we can follow up about your pitch.
- Server logs: minimal request metadata for security and debugging.
- Privacy-first analytics (Plausible): aggregated, no per-user identifiers, no cookies.
- Product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU): the pages you view and the buttons and links you click, your device and browser, and an anonymous visitor ID stored in a cookie so we can understand how people move through the pitch flow. No session replay, no advertising identifiers, and we don't sell or share it. You can opt out in your browser, see Cookies below.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights: anonymised, aggregated traffic counts and Core Web Vitals (load speed, layout shift, interactivity) collected by our host. No cookies, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
- HubSpot site tracking: a small set of cookies that record the pages you visit, the device and browser you're on, and an anonymous visitor ID. Once you submit a pitch or any other form on the site, HubSpot stitches that prior browsing history to the email you gave us, so the studio team can see the conversation in context when we reply.
What we don't collect
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Session replays.
- Sensitive personal data of any kind.
- Information from anyone under 16.
How we use what we collect
Pitch submissions are read by the studio team to evaluate your fit. We store them for as long as the active conversation continues and delete on request. We don't sell, share, or rent your data to anyone.
We'll always email you to reply to a pitch you've submitted. That's a transactional reply and we treat it as expected.
Follow-ups and nurture
Step 1 of the pitch form carries a visible disclosure under the Continue button: "Clicking Continue confirms we can email you about your pitch. Unsubscribe any time." By clicking Continue past Step 1, you're letting us use the email address you gave us to:
- Reply to your pitch.
- Check in by email if you started a pitch but didn't finish (typically a short prompt, a couple of times over a few weeks).
- Send occasional email updates about Creator Deal HQ that are relevant to your pitch.
We don't send marketing messages by WhatsApp or SMS. If you give us a phone number, it's used for one thing only: a live call during the deal review (typically the diligence call), or a quick text to coordinate that call. We won't drip-feed nurture messages to it.
You can unsubscribe from the email follow-ups at any time, by replying to any email, by clicking the unsubscribe link, or by emailing hello@creatordealhq.com. Once you unsubscribe we'll stop the nurture and updates; we'll still reply to a pitch you've actually submitted if we want to take it further.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw the follow-up consent at any time. Email hello@creatordealhq.com with the subject line privacy request. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Two services set cookies on the site. HubSpot's track which pages you've visited and tie that history to your email if you fill in a form; they expire after 13 months, or sooner if you clear them. PostHog sets a cookie holding an anonymous visitor ID so a returning visit is recognised as the same session; it isn't tied to your identity and carries no advertising data.
You can block them in your browser settings without breaking anything on the site. If we add an in-page cookie banner, it will default to refusing non-essential cookies and you'll be able to opt back in.
Subprocessors
We use a small number of third parties to run the site and the pitch pipeline: currently Vercel (hosting, plus its built-in Analytics and Speed Insights), Resend (transactional email), Plausible (privacy-first analytics), PostHog (product analytics, EU-hosted), HubSpot (CRM, marketing emails, and the site tracking described above), and a Postgres provider. Each is contractually bound by their own data protection terms.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we'll change the date at the top. Material changes get a note in our next outbound email to anyone with an open pitch.
